It is through the procurement relationship that the Social Purchasing Portal (SPP) facilitates social value. When purchasing increases through the portal your business grows, and the economic and employment opportunities for marginalized members of the community increase.

Suppliers listed on the portal are committed to Employment Equity and have signed an agreement to create job opportunities for individuals who require further support to enter the workforce. Every purchasing order placed through the Social Purchasing Portal (SPP) serves to increase the suppliers' need and capacity to generate employment.
